CHALK Redemption and USDG Epochs

Understand the redemption panel and the irreversible nature of a redeem instruction.

What is a redemption epoch?

A redemption epoch is the period represented by the Epoch number and countdown in the Blackboard Redeem card. The panel also displays redemption pool, an indicative CHALK-to-USDG rate and total redeemed.

Understanding the USDG pool

The displayed redemption pool is expressed in USDG. It should be read as a panel value, not a promise that a given wallet can obtain the full amount. Actual results depend on the current epoch, applicable contract behavior and activity.

Rate and timing

The interface shows a CHALK-equivalent USDG rate and an Opens in countdown. Rates, opening times and displayed pool values may change, so a screenshot or saved HTML timestamp cannot determine the outcome of a future transaction.

Can I undo redemption?

The supplied panel expressly states that redeemed CHALK cannot be withdrawn. Treat any redemption as potentially irreversible, and verify all details before confirming a transaction.

Redemption versus staking

Stake/Unstake controls deal with a staked CHALK position. Redeem relates to the epoch and pool display. The interface separates them, and users should review each action independently.

Important: Staking, redemption and token transfers involve risk. Verify current contract rules and transaction details. The documentation describes interface terminology and does not guarantee USDG returns.
