CHALK Token: Supply and Burning

A breakdown of CHALK supply statistics, activity types and the token burn mechanism.

CHALK token overview

CHALK is the token tracked throughout the Blackboard staking interface. Its panel includes total supply, in staking, stake ratio, in redemption and total burned. The figures shown in a saved copy represent a point in time, not a live token quote.

How supply information is organized

Total supply reports the token supply as displayed by the interface. In staking is the amount included in staking, and stake ratio expresses staking participation as a percentage. In redemption and total burned are separate metrics; they should not be combined without knowing the calculation definitions.

Mint by loss and mint by liquidation

The Activities table lists entries labeled Mint by loss and Mint by liquidation. These are distinct from Staking burn entries. The page also includes a market/status description that CHALK can be issued in relation to trading losses, but it does not provide every contract-level formula.

What does staking burn mean?

The Stake panel states that half of the stake burns every day. Burned CHALK is distinct from an unstaked or redeemed amount. A token burn can make a nominal USDG reward figure misleading if the token cost is ignored.

Viewing transaction-level records

The saved Activities table links to transaction pages on the Robinhood Chain Etherscan explorer. Those links provide a route to inspect individual events, but only an authoritative contract record establishes the on-chain truth.

Important: Staking, redemption and token transfers involve risk. Verify current contract rules and transaction details. The documentation describes interface terminology and does not guarantee USDG returns.
