Blackboard Staking Explained

How the CHALK staking panel, reward rows, token lock and burn mechanics fit together.

What is Blackboard staking?

Blackboard staking refers to the staking section of the CHALK dashboard. It brings together staking actions and reward information, so readers can distinguish an amount staked in CHALK from distribution amounts presented in USDG. The interface also shows a separate redemption mechanism.

Staking state and balances

The dashboard labels the available wallet amount as In wallet and the existing position as Your staked. These are different balances: wallet CHALK is not the same as CHALK allocated to the staking process. The visible controls include Stake, Unstake and a Max shortcut. In a static saved page, controls may be unavailable.

Lock and burn rules

Two terms appear directly beneath Stake: staking locks CHALK for one day, and half of the stake burns every day. These rules are financially material. A burn can reduce the amount of CHALK remaining, even if a reward distribution is recorded separately. The headline reward figure should never be viewed without the burn terms.

Evaluate distribution information

The Staking Rewards panel distinguishes total distributed, pending distribution and last distribution. These rows describe the interface state; they do not prove a future earning rate. For an explanation of denominated payouts, see the USDG Rewards guide.

Important: Staking, redemption and token transfers involve risk. Verify current contract rules and transaction details. The documentation describes interface terminology and does not guarantee USDG returns.
